We had several weeks between when our time in Louisville ended and when we were due to be in Vermont. We knew it would be rare to have such a long period to travel, so we decided to take advantage of it and visit our families as well as spend some time together as our own family.
We began our trip in Atlanta visiting my Mom and sister and niece. We spent our days swimming in the neighborhood pool (where I spent most summer days of my childhood), going to Six Flags Over Georgia, White Water and we even took a trip to Helen, Georgia where we hiked to see Anna Ruby Falls. We had a fantastic time with our family! Here are some photo highlights of our time in Atlanta.
The third stop on our journey was to visit Josh's family in Columbia, SC. During our time here we also made a quick visit to see his Grandma and Grandpa Tweito on the SC/GA border. We spent most of our days touring around Columbia to visit old friends and family. We had a wonderful time!
After spending several weeks visiting all of our family, we took a trip to Myrtle Beach with just the four (well five actually) of us. :) It was really the first beach experience we have had since our move to Louisville. The boys loved playing in the sand, jumping in the waves, and playing in the many pools our resort had. It was a blast!
After our time in Myrtle Beach, we drove up to Richmond, VA to stay with some sweet friends who moved there while we were in Louisville. We had such a wonderful time visiting and Peter was excited to see one of his old friends Gideon. However, he was not as excited as I was to see his friend's mommy.
After our stay in Richmond, we began our drive North towards Vermont. These weeks that you have seen through pictures here were filled with so much fun!
We do want to be real though. We had a ton of fun and LOVED seeing our family and our friends. But, what you do not see are some of the hard times behind the happy faces. The tears shed on our way to Atlanta after leaving our home in Louisville, the hard times of crying to "go home" or to "see my friends" as Peter often said. The hardness of moving from place to place with two little children. The longing on Sunday mornings to fellowship with our family at Kenwood Baptist Church, the uncertainty of what our "new house" would be like. But through all of this: the good times and the hard times, we are able to rejoice because our God does not change along with our circumstances. His promises are the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. Our hope in Him is steadfast and sure. We pray that our boys would experience His faithfulness and steadfastness as we have over these last weeks.

Our second stop on our trip was at my Dad and Stepmom's farm in South Georgia. The boys had a blast seeing all of the animals, riding the tractor, playing with the dogs and just being boys. Our visit at the farm was very fun!
