It's been a while...

So after June 1 we took the plunge into parenthood and life has not stopped or slowed down one little bit, much to my dismay. So now that life has been super crazy and our sweet Peter is 2 months old (insert gasp, sigh, tears, then a smile here), I figured I'd better get around to writing an update. :)

After Peter was born, we were blessed to have family come up and help us for the first two weeks or so. And we were so thankful and blessed by our sweet church family who graciously provided us with 2+ weeks of dinners after our family had left. We have had many many visitors since and we are so glad that Peter has brough so much joy to us and our families.

I can see what they say as far as looking back and only remembering the sweet times. The first few weeks after Peter was born were extremely tough emotionally and physically. I still vividly remember a lot of it, but I can see how it is beginning to fade and only the sweet memories are standing out.

Since our last update, we have celebrated Peter's first 4th of July!

We have also celebrated his one month mark, and his two month mark. I cannot tell you how awesome this little guy is. In fact, if you haven't met him, you are just going to have to come up to Louisville and see for yourself!

Here are some of the milestones and fun facts about Peter that we have to share
  • At two months old he is just over 15 lbs! He certainly chunking up nicely :)
  • At one month he was 25 inches long (top of the charts)! I can't wait to see how long he is at our appointment next week!
  • At 6 weeks old he started smiling at us!
  • He loves to stand on his feet when you hold him under his arms...His legs are SO strong!
  • He loves to be outside
  • After the first few horrendous baths, he has decided that he loves the water, so bathtime is a joy!
  • He loves to watch the ceiling fan move
  • He absolutely is in love with his bouncy seat... this is the single most important baby thing we own besides diapers ;)
  • He loves the mornings! We have no clue where that came from, but our little man is such a morning person. He loves to be up and smiling and cooing and having a party at 8am and we are always so happy to join in. His happiness is contagious!
  • While he loves the mornings, I cannot say the same for the evenings... He is usually a bit crabby around 7-8 every night but it's nothing a stroll around the neighborhood won't cure :)
  • He loves going for walks in his stroller

He is developing such a personality and is changing before our eyes each day! It is so bittersweet to watch. Time truly does fly by.

Here are some sweet pics that show how much he has grown!

Here are some better 1 and 2 month pictures for a cuter comparison :)

This week, I started back at my job but I am so happy to say that it is only for 2 weeks! After that, I will be nannying for a sweet family and I will be able to bring Peter along with me! Praise the Lord because this is an incredible answer to prayer that we are so thankful for!

In other news for the Tweito household...
Josh has sort of moved positions within the company he works for and he is going to be helping out their sales team. We are so thankful for this position because it presents more opportunity for growth in the future!

In just a couple of weeks, Josh will also start taking classes again at Southern. We are so blessed that he has a received some scholarship money this year that will cover all of his school expenses! I am in awe every day to see how God continues bestow his mercy on us and provide for our family. May glory and praise go to him!

And to end the post with something that is sure to make you smile... here is a sweet little video of Peter in case you haven't seen it already. It melts my heart every time :)

Love,

Carly
