Leaving Louisville

This summer we packed up and left our home in Louisville. Four years ago when we packed up to move here, it was just Josh and I. We had planned to be at Southern Seminary for three years. We had planned for Josh to attend seminary full time while I worked. Then we would move somewhere to begin ministry and also begin a family.

"Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand." Proverbs 19:21

We are awed and grateful everyday that God had greater and better plans for us than what we had imagined.

Since our move to Louisville, the Lord has given us two beautiful sons, and another on the way. Josh has worked his way through seminary, while having a full time job and I have also worked and cared for our boys. The Lord has stretched us and grown us in our time in Louisville and we're thankful for these ways in which He has drawn us nearer to Himself.

Leaving Louisville, we look back and see God's kindness and His faithfulness.

We are leaving behind friends and a church family that we will forever hold in our hearts. We have been blessed to sit and learn under the teaching and leadership at Kenwood Baptist Church. We are saddened to part ways with these friends, but we leave with hope knowing that one day we will fellowship with them again (either here on earth or in the glorious presence of our Dear Savior).

We leave Louisville, looking forward to the ministry that the Lord has called us to in New England. Josh will be working in an internship with the NETS center for church planting and revitalization. We will share more about this amazing opportunity in future posts.

To end here is a collection of some of our favorite photos from our last summer in Louisville.
