Merry Christmas

This is our Christmas letter this year that I never found time to print and send with our Christmas cards!

2013 has been quite the year for our family as I'm sure you all know.
As I sit here writing this and watching our son play with his toys, I am just overwhelmed by our blessings.
We could not have been happier to welcome this sweet boy into the world on June 1. We are so thankful and amazed that the Lord has chosen us to be Peter's parents. It is so fun to watch this little boy grow! You are going to have take a little trip with me down memory lane:

Just Born:

One Month:

2 Months

3 Months:

4 Months:

5 Months:

6 Months

And believe me, I cannot believe he will be 7 months old on January 1!!!

And for news about the rest of us... I am still a nanny and am so enjoying being able to have this job where I can keep Peter with me and enjoy seeing him grow! I have also become a consultant for Usborne Books and More. I am selling children's books (Infants-preteens). So of course, if I can help you with any of that please let me know!

Josh has just finished up his 3rd semester of Seminary. He has also recently become a chaplain for a public high school's basketball team. He is really enjoying this ministry opportunity. Josh is also still working for the same company and we are so thankful that he has a job that is so flexible and supportive of his school and ministry.

All in all we are completely blessed. We do have a few prayer requests that we would like to share with our friends and family:

Please be praying that God would bless Josh's ministry with the high school basketball team. That the players and coaches hearts would be open to receive Him.

Please be praying that the Lord would give our entire family strength and support as Josh is going through his schooling. It can be challenging for our whole family as Josh's time is split between, work and school.

We ask that you also pray for Peter's salvation. We ask you to pray that the Lord would come into Peter's life at an early age and that Peter would seek to praise and glorify the Lord with his life.

We would also love to be in prayer for you and your families as well! Please feel free to call/email/text us your prayer requests!

In this season that we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior, we pray that Emmanuel would be the most important part of your season (not gifts, not Santa, not things of this world). In a world that seeks to glorify the man in the red suit who gives us gifts because we are good, let us glorify the one who gave us the gift of salvation by giving us his life, while we are still sinners. He gave us his gift, not because of any good things that we have done, but because He is a loving, compassionate and faithful God!

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life"
John 3:16

Here is a link to my favorite Christmas song. I have also included the lyrics below.

Baby Jesus born in a stable humble saviors birth
You left Your throne in Heaven above to live here on the earth.
Baby Jesus lying in a manger crying for the world.
The angels told the shepherds of the good news for us all.

Hallelujah! The King is here given for all men.
For today the Holy Son of God was born in Bethlehem.

Come now sinners and you saints all peasants and all kings.
And bow before the Earth's Redeemer, Let all voices sing

Hallelujah! The King is here given for all men.
For today the Holy Son of God was born in Bethlehem.
Hallelujah! The King is here given for all men.
For today the Holy Son of God was born in Bethlehem.

Baby Jesus do you know you'll die for all our sins?
Don't be afraid for in three days, You will rise again.
You will rise again!

Hallelujah! The King is here given for all men.
For today the Holy Son of God was born in Bethlehem.
Hallelujah! The King is here given for all men.
For today the Holy Son of God was born in Bethlehem.
For today the Holy Son of God was born in Bethlehem.

Love,

Josh, Carly and Peter

Merry Christmas!
