Well... So much for posting every day! Life kind of got in the way a little bit, which will lead us to today's topic. Finding blessing in the crazy, busy, exhausting and overwhelming times.
Our life has been super busy over the past week with work, traveling for a sweet friend's wedding, more work, a baby who forgot how to sleep, etc. And as I type it out, it sure doesn't seem like a whole lot, but that's not how it has felt! I feel like I have been running a marathon over the past week and I sure am thankful for today's Sabbath. (And don't get me wrong, the craziness is not all bad. In fact, it is full of things that I am thankful for and blessed by! But when you are in the middle of a crazy season, you can feel exhausted, overwhelmed, and out of control).
Go back to when you were a kid. Did you ever grab your best friend's hands, hold tight and spin in circles? The world blurs around you and all you can see clearly is your best friend's face. Your friend is also your anchor, keeping you from spinning out of control.
When your life gets crazy and seems to spin out of control, look to Jesus. He is the anchor. He will be unchanging when everything blurs around you. Fix your eyes on him and you will not fall.
For the Christian, Jesus is always the biggest blessing of all. He is the source of all of our blessings and joy. Nothing is good apart from Him.
So today, I am praising and thanking God that He is my Rock, my Anchor, my Provider, my Sustainer and my Joy when everything seems crazy. I am thankful that when things are crazy, Jesus is unchanging.
Love,
Carly
